Ford Government’s 1,600-Hectare Boundary Expansion Puts Developers Before People

Doug Ford is hellbent on silencing the voices of the residents of Hamilton. Hamilton East–Stoney Creek cannot afford four more years of another “yes man” PC MPP who won’t stand up to Doug Ford.

From the Greenbelt land grab to abusive strong mayor powers this is the latest example of Doug Ford putting his thumb on the scale for developers, at the expense of residents who have spent years fighting to protect this land.

This will not solve our housing crisis. What it will do is pave over valuable farmland, drive up costs for families and seniors, and hand a windfall to developers who will never have to answer to the thousands of residents who said no.

At a time when people can’t afford to pay their bills, we cannot afford a handout to developers.

We can’t keep letting Doug Ford put developers before people. The residents of Hamilton East–Stoney Creek deserve better.
