I am deeply committed to listening to our community, standing up for quality healthcare, proper funding for our schools, community safety and ensuring affordability—because every Hamiltonian deserves the opportunity to thrive.

Our strong social and public healthcare safety net used to be a source of pride for us Ontarians, but things have taken a wrong turn under the Progressive Conservative government. As a liberal, I am laser focused on creating a more robust and dynamic economy so we once again can afford to strengthen these vital public services. The best arena to make a difference on this front is in Ontario politics, which is why I keep a keen eye on provincial politics and speak up on issues impacting fellow Hamiltonians.

If we haven’t met yet, I’m Heino Doessing. I was born and raised in Denmark. After serving as a municipal councillor and earning a graduate degree in economics, I made the life-changing decision to move to Canada in 2010 to live with the love of my life. Our journey took us from Toronto to Saskatchewan before settling in Hamilton with our two young boys. Hamilton is home—a city I love for its vibrant community, breathtaking natural surroundings, and incredible opportunities for growth.
